Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her speedy abilities while she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. In just 10 weeks following her first tryout she came with a second-place finish in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 by surpassing her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was an avid competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Jaeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of all events.
